When Billy was 8 years old, he went to the Coca Cola 600 race and saw Richard Petty’s Super Bird flying around the Charlotte Motor Speedway. He fell in love with that car, and from that time forward, cars of all makes and models have been his passion.
When he turned 15 Billy bought his first car, a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle. He completely rebuilt it, and drove it through all of his school years. He still owns and drives that car today.
In college, Billy majored in Mechanical Engineering and perfected the skills that he now uses at Klassic Rides every day.
In 2005, Billy helped start Klassic Rides, which was originally intended to be an automobile paint and body shop. Later that year, seeing the demand for very high quality, professional work, Klassic Rides changed its mission and became a true full-service automotive restoration and modification shop.
Billy has guided Klassic Rides along a path that has earned the company a reputation for delivering automotive restoration and modification services of the highest quality, building on its past and continuing to grow and expand every year since 2005.
In addition to being one of the owners of the company, Billy is very active in the daily operations of the shop, functioning as the Operations Manager of Klassic Rides. Billy is still very involved in all of the projects in the Klassic Rides shop, and is happiest when he gets to spend time in the shop getting his hands dirty and working on a new project.
